Burn Barrel and Incinerator Bylaw


The Municipal District Council has given 1st reading to the Burn Barrel and Incinerator Bylaw 2016-03. The Bylaw prohibits the usage of burn barrels and incinerators for the burning of waste of any kind within the Hamlets of Flatbush, Chisholm, Smith, Marten Beach and Canyon Creek/Widewater/Wagner.

Camp fires for the purposes of heating and cooking are allowed in all Hamlets. All Fire Bans, Fire Restrictions and Fire Advisories issued by the Minister of Agriculture & Forestry must be must be followed in this regard.
